In June 2018, my friend and I travelled to Thessaloniki, Greece, to climb Mount Olympus. It's elevation is 2,918 m (9573 ft) and took us 2 days to reach the summit and then return to the base. We stayed in the Spilios Agapitos refuge (2,100m) for a night on the ascent. The hot food and bed is perfect for the final push to the summit in the morning.

Start of the ascent with the lower surrounding peaks.
The clearing from the trees surrounding the base.
A level shot showing just how steep it was!
The mist of clouds starting to collect in the valley.
Just below the peak.
We had very clear skies on the descent. Here's the tip of Mount Olympus breaking through.
